In an era when many papers have abandoned editorial and op-ed pages, The Times Leader has an Opinion page in each issue and an op-ed page every Wednesday. There are two pages of comics a strong classified ad presence in every issue. Story content is focused on areas of interest to people of western Kentucky. The paper’s sports section generally consists of five to six pages each issue, especially during football and basketball seasons. The paper prides itself on strong local news, photo and sports coverage.

The Times Leader not only publishes twice weekly, but has a website,, which is updated regularly. It also has a strong presence on Facebook and Twitter.

Subscribers in this area receive the paper every Wednesday and Saturday through delivery by the U.S. Postal Service. Same day delivery is available for customers served by the Princeton, Fredonia, Eddyville, Kuttawa, Dawson Springs, Cadiz and Hopkinsville post offices.

Persons can subscribe to either the print or online version. All stories on the website are behind a paywall, but a print subscriber gets free access to the electronic version.

In addition to the newspaper, the company operates a commercial printing business — designing and printing everything from business cards to large format products. The company rivals the pricing of online website printers in products such as business cards. Willie McGregor and Roberta Thompson spearhead the company’s printing division.
